Announcement: Creative Scotland Regular Funding 2018 – 2021

Scottish Sculpture Workshop (SSW) is delighted to hear that Creative Scotland is continuing to support us as a Regularly Funded Organisation for the period 2018–21. This good news secures our facilities and artistic programme for the next three years.

Sam Trotman – Director of SSW:

After a long wait, we are excited to move forward with our plans for developing our residency offer, providing a range of platforms for both experienced practitioners and to those new to making as well as new opportunities to develop projects that connect to our locale in collaboration with regional, national and European partners.

Jacqueline Donachie – Chair of SSW Board:

The decision of Creative Scotland to continue to support SSW through RFO is most welcome. We are proud that SSW’s application was rated highly throughout all feedback, and we are particularly pleased to see recognition of our ‘outstanding’ contribution to ‘Scotland as a distinctive creative nation connected to the world’ and ‘the Environment’.

We are delighted to be able to support artists at a time when the clear voice of a confident and outward looking artistic community has never been more necessary. The SSW board would like to note the hard work of the small staff team in Lumsden, Aberdeenshire and their commitment to furthering arts provision throughout Scotland and beyond.

SSW would like to thank their partners, artists and audiences as well as Creative Scotland for their continued support.
