Flat luck

The entire area is beautiful at the moment and light is euphoric! I kid you not.  I have been lucky enough to do some walking with one of the other artists in residence, Jess. We had an incredible jaunt up the Tap O Noth, although a little precarious as we lost the path and headed up the snowy steep face of the hill. The view from the top in the afternoon light was awesome, especially crowned by the fort remains on top.  It is apparently a vitrified fort (fused by heat) although I take no responsibility for factual inaccuracy here.

Some processes here are more successful than others, but as the saying goes 'God loves a tryer'. My valentine cake for everyone leaked over the oven and had to be rescued at prime rising time, producing a flat shadow of the cake that was meant to be ( notice the cunning photography used to make it appear like a normal fluffy sponge).  The tallest thing on it was the buttons. It is all right, all the luck is being saved for my aluminium pour!
