So long Rocketman...we'll miss you!

Friday,13th July 2007

Click for larger version GANGHUT felt sad this afternoon as an integral cog in the GHUT engine departed to the city in search of work, a new home, to reunite with his wife and different times!! Rocket Joe 'Portaloo' Haughey will be sadly missed from the 'day to day' runnings of GHUT in Lumsden. His infectious eccentricisms were an uplift to many a Hutter! The thick spectacled Kirki laird would cheer up even the most somber moment with a comment or toothy grin. He bore the brunt of many GHUT worksite fopahs including busting his glasses with his own fist while tussling with 20m of rylock fencing for the pig pen. I know the pigs will miss him visiting as it was Joe and myself that lifted them into their new home almost 6 months ago...yes lifted them as they were little runts!!! I would not try to lift them now in fear of my own life! Also the past week has been filled with often hilarious and exhilerating moments with Rocket Joe's interplanetary experiments. Rockets, carrots and even sausages were fired into the etherworld in a truely surreal fashion under Joes 'Altern 8' suited guidance. Anyway with a tear in my eye and a lump in my thoat I bid the big hairy bear a fond goodbye this savo along with Hosey and Marletta. So Haughey if you read this and you no doubt will! You know 'We've got your back though muck and high water!' You need back up! let a rocket off into the sky and we'll be watching! We salute you! And in the Tilloch Kings words everything we do and you do "IS NOT A FAILURE, IT'S A LEARNING CURVE!" We Salute You! Love GANGHUT x
