Click for larger version Ahh – the journal It’s the 17th of Aug – n if I’m not mistaken – I completed my time at SSW on the 23rd May n whilst there not once did I feel the urge to sit inside and blog/laptop write/type Didn’t want to – so I didn’t But what I did do – is what I always do when separated from my man Well – what we do That is/was - each of us kept our own very personal logbooks - sketches of our days apart Thing’s we’ve done, seen, felt, heard when we reunite, we exchange books N now I’m gonna share some of our entries I think they illustrate what I did at SSW and what my man guessed I did A few things I should point out before I begin I came to SSW on an invitation to research for a specific project – a work for the PVAF annual event www.pvaf.org.uk/art_trail.htm I was in the middle of a commission for Independent Photography, London, www.independentphotography.org.uk/urbannature/index.htm and www.100cauliflowers.com so my thoughts were also concerned with forthcoming events on the Greenwich Peninsula – namely, a cauliflower harvest and feast, and a performantive work -“foster the earth” And I was preparing for an outdoor exhibition in Aachen, Germany – Temporae Gaerten www.temporaeregaerten.de/30_2008_teilnehmer.htm all projects had some things in common – namely carts and moss so at SSW I set about to design and build carts for each project and research moss biomonitoring
