Artistic Approach

The essence of my artistic approach is transmitted through set-ups, in situ works, sculptures and photos that suggest ambiguities, subterfuges or intimate relationships.  My work is based on a desire to explore matter and its possibilities.  Chosen for their physical qualities, formal or symbolic, the materials that I use surprise, amuse and have a reference function.  My fascination for the materials and their intrinsic qualities make me think and rethink nature and our way of looking at it.  I am not talking here about nature per se, its trees and its plains, but about our way of living in it, of perceiving it.  My work draws attention to social behaviors vis-à-vis the essence of things in a relationship of ``to see`` and to ``perceive`` through an intuitive and amusing bias.

Bridging the gap between the work and the spectator, as a demander, I thus create works having an organic and technological facture.  These highly seductive, dreamlike visual propositions suggest an ambiguity and an intimate relationship.  By this aestheticism, I wish to recreate sensations suggesting the unforeseeable, or exciting the senses, and incite pleasure, which resides in the intensity that life generates in the present.  My work is based on all types of meetings, exchanges, observations and physical or scientific wonders.  I let myself be fascinated by what man shapes and un-shapes, by what he lives with and what lives within him.  This is translated into the creation of objects, spaces or images, integrated in social interventions or in devices that could move within diverse public spaces.  That is when I invite the participation of the spectator/actor by suggesting to him another way of seeing things.
