Every year the Lumsden Weekender throws open the doors to our site, welcoming our friends and neighbours to celebrate a year’s work and process together, here at SSW.
Sharing work developed throughout the year, by residency artists and our regular users, the weekend is jam packed with open workshops, performance, collaborative making, eating and partying for all ages.
In 2020 our Lumsden Weekender celebrated 40 years of SSW. In 2018 we shared outcomes from our long-term project Frontiers in Retreat. Other years have offered artist-led workshops, taster sessions and presented work developed through the Lumsden Residency with Lumsden Primary School, among many other family-friendly events.
Every year, the Weekender is a highlight in Lumsden’s annual calendar – we look forward to welcoming everyone, old and new faces alike, for the next one.
