THE DAY OF THE PIES!!!
I've never attmpted to make proper scotch pies...fair dues i've had a run at mince rounds, steak pies, fish pie, chicken pie, veg bake, even venison bridies, etc.....but never the proper scotch pie..the hard crust shell cup of goodness!!! But it was the leaving doo of Master Bretsen...the viking descendent sword maker and all round good guy!!! So after a liason with Master G barber of Alford..40 pie cases were procured and a fine selection of meats for filling..including steak, steak mince, pigeon and a north east fave" mealie" or "skurlie" this is a kinda white pudding type afair..rolled oat and various fats and spices..it is suprisingly tasty even though on first looking it's like Mrs Bobbit had been busy!!! make up was worn as well as tights...it was a pie-athon!!! The pigeon pies went down a treat with the steaks closely up the back position! Wheres my RENNIES! REIDIUS
