Rona Lee // Profile
Rona hair.jpg Rona Lee undertook a Research Residency in 2004, and a subsequent Production Residency in 2005.

Based in London, her practice encompasses a range of media. Often multi-layered it combines a poetic response with material arrived at through contextual research. This evolving body of work – the ‘Submersion’ series - traverses psychological and physical experience, actual and imagined spaces. As part of its development she is investigating offshore saturation diving and the use of different technologies to image the sea-bed.

She says, ‘To pass under the surface of a body of water is to suspend not only the physical laws that govern our experience but also the symbolic codes by which we are defined and it is this that currently interests me.’
