Gallery installation

Disused jail cell, graffiti, plasticine

The painted out graffiti within a old St. Louis jail cell is revealed once again in this temporary installation

2004

Credit is a temporary memorial to time and people passing inside a St. Louis jail cell. Credit rediscovers the graffiti etched onto the walls (long-painted over, but still traceable). Limited to retelling the overlapping parts of history that forced their mark, Credit merges artist mark-making with graffitti, asking not only who the people are but, as an artwork, who should get the credit.
