Scottish Sculpture Workshop is delighted to announce the appointment of our new Director, Sam Trotman.
Sam has previously worked as Education Producer at Artsadmin, a producing organisation that supports artists to create bold new work through a programme of bursaries, commissions and projects from their Toynbee Studios base in East London. There, Sam started the education department and ran high quality, innovative projects with an emphasis on supporting early career artists.
She is also co-Chair of Fierce, an international festival of performance in Birmingham, and from 2013 – 15 was Associate Curator for OOTO Places, a flagship commissioning programme for Creative People and Places (Medway and Swale) with her colleague Phoebe Davies. Sam has worked on a range of social and environmental campaigns with Women for Refugee Women and Climate Camp and has acted as a consultant to arts organisations including Tate and Somerset House.
Sam Trotman will take up her post as SSW Director in February 2017.
