Peaty nutz

Thursday,15th October 2009

Nutz, the local siamese with a loud voice who occasionally visits us as part of his daily grand tour, has not been in today. Either the cold weather is the cause of this absence or perhaps a more sinister explanation is at hand. Possibly coincidentally and totally unrelated to the "disappearance" of Nutz, Harry, our illustrious leader who has a well documented dislike of animals is off to China with longback the destroyer and a few others, in a concerted attempt introduce table squennis, the people's game, to the people of the great republic. Or possibly to create some links between arts organisations in China and Scotland. Hmmmm 50 Billion Chinese or thereabouts, if they all want to visit. SSW then we will need another technician.

Having joked recently that Tony, (Squennis name Wallysham) our resident from the Shetland islands probably kept staring at trees and asking what the tall woody branchy things were, he informed us last evening as he set off out for a walk ......that he was off to look at trees.

He is with us for three more weeks experimenting with various techniques including casting welding mould making forgeing macrame and flower arranging.

It is also re-union time again at SSW as much to Simonne's delight los quatros engebretson are here. Ginny, soon to be Mrs Charles Engebretsen, and Becca, soon to be Mrs Roland Engebretsen are here with thier respective lords and masters, and are working feverishly in the ganghut space on a peat based residency. To be fair they have spent quite a bit of time and effort researching peat through the medium of whisky. Becca is working so hard that you can frequently see smoke coming out of her mouth!

At the same time we have Ganghut "Boom Boom" Steve using the workshop space to build an engineering marvel for the Huntly Hairst wherein Gangband will be performing from.
