My SPOON is too BIG...

Had a brilliant time at Lumsden Gala last week - the weather was not as fantastic as 2009, and I ended up having to borrow a vest, a pyjama top and a cardigan from ex-SSW intern Fiona Byrne, who came up for the weekend.

Despite this, I managed to keep warm enough by dashing around with a camera, and by downing a cup of tea and endless cakes in the coffee room.

Some really hilarious events organised by SSW residents Pester & Rossi, and their various artist friends.

Following last years undignified barefoot dash (which, incidentally, won me the ladies foot race - preen!), I kept my cool (and my dignity) and avoided all footraces and sports - although I was sorely tempted by the "boys against girls" tug of war. My competitive spirit would have won the day, I'm sure - nothing to do with my overall fat content and big hands, of course.

I also managed to stay out of most of the photos - although after recently seeing Don Hertzfeldt's hilarious short film "REJECTED (My Spoon is Too Big)", I couldn't resist posing with the props for the Giant Egg and Spoon Race, alongside artist Sinead Bracken...
