Attended the Pepinieres National Co-ordinators meeting in Prague this weekend, on behalf of SSW and Scotland.

I was due to fly back to the UK via Amsterdam at about 6pm yesterday - however, just as we were about to board, they told us the flight would be delayed by 30 minutes - I only had an hour between flights, and Amsterdam airport (Schipol) is HUGE. So I asked if they knew if we would be flying into the same terminal as my connection would be leaving from. The woman was very unhelpful, until I burst into tears, opened my jacket to show my (luckily huge) bump, and said loudly, 'But I CAN'T run, I'm PREGNANT!'. She immediately started to phone around, and found out which terminal I was coming in at. I was still in tears when I boarded that flight - the air stewardess was really sympathetic, and kept me informed the whole time. Unfortunately my flight was coming into a different terminal - however she arranged for me to get an aisle seat, priority onto the first transfer bus, and they told the captain to hold the flight (which was unnecessary as I scuttled as quickly as possible from one end of Schipol airport to the other...) I DID catch my flight (there was no way I was going to miss it - it was the last flight home that night!) but I am still shaky this morning.

Luckily, it was an interesting conference, and has given me plenty of food for thought, which made me feel a bit better!
