'Awl-love' explores and fabulates upon the popularisation and recuperation of Aberdeenshire many 'recumbent' stone circles.
Based on a road-trip to verify the sites from photographs taken by ex-Teardrop Explodes front man and self-styled shaman, Julian Cope, for his gazeteer 'The Modern Antiquarian', 'Awl-love' swathes its subject in layers of low-fi, improvised psychedelic noise and rhythmic, strobed editing.
