Title:
'Homeopath (Terry & Kurt)'
installation view of digital video projection with stereo audio - Collective Gallery, Edinburgh, 2005, 8'00"
A 'live' collision between minimalist composer Terry Riley's 'time lag accumulator' tape looping set-up and a fragment of Kurt Vonnegut's 1959 novel 'Sirens of Titan'. Two (faintly anthropomorphic) reel-to-reel tape decks produce a rhythmic noise-scape which slowly resolves into a repeated phrase from Vonnegut's novel: "Here I am...So glad you are...".
