Exhibition at SSW

Friday,6th June 2008

Private viewing 4th July 6-9

Open 5th 10-5

Recently completed a 3 month internship/residency at SSW. During my stay I repainted the 21metre outside wall, referencing objects and the building of SSW. Now back in London I am preparing work for a short solo show to be held at the SSW premises.

I create an exploratory body dedicated to the built/designed environment. The focal point is; society’s relationship with the designed environment and the manner in which the public conduct and orchestrate their movement in, through, and around public spaces. It is an area of fascination and exploration that has for a long period of time informed my practice.

The architectural constructions and images in my practice are situated and played alongside their new surroundings to demonstrate consideration of the spectator’s experience of time and movement. In some cases the space itself becomes the acting picture plane.
