Dr George Jaramillo

With 20 years of professional and academic practice, George explores critical creative practices and innovation design processes within his work.

As a design and heritage professional, he has led residential design projects in New York City and architectural/landscape conservation as historical architect for the National Park Service in Yosemite National Park or Historian at Grand Coulee Dam. As an academic, he has worked for the Glasgow School of Art teaching on their masters programmes in design innovation and as assistant professor at Heriot-Watt University. Currently, he is the Park Historical Architect for the Outer Banks Group of National Parks in North Carolina.

He looks at new adaptive heritage practices for historic structures due to climate change dynamics. He aims to continue to challenge traditional career paths and promote new ways of working within our changing world.
