Following the latest relaxation of COVID-19 lockdown measures in Scotland, we can’t wait to welcome you back to the workshops from Monday 3 May 2021.
We are re-opening the site carefully, with Residency, Open Access, Ceramics and Courses starting back up gradually over the coming months. Familiar COVID-19 protocols will be in place across all activity to keep everyone safe. As a brief overview, when you come to SSW please expect:
- reduced numbers of users and staff on site
- physical distancing, face coverings and increased hand washing
- restricted movement around the site with ‘zones’
- increased cleaning
With these measures in place we are able to offer access to our facilities, technical support and limited accommodation. For full details on our COVID-19 safety measures, please download our COVID-19 information pack at the bottom of this page.
Residency
We will be rescheduling postponed Summer and Winter residency from 2020 in June and July this year. We hope to be able to run international residency again from 2022, but regret we can’t host international residents this summer due to ongoing uncertainties with travel and quarantine.
Alongside Summer and Winter residency artists, we will be welcoming SSW x Counterflows Caregivers Residency artists throughout the summer.
Open Access
We are re-opening our booking process for Open Access again from Thursday 6 May 2021, so please get in touch if you would like to come and make at SSW this summer.
Courses
We are working on our new Courses programme and can’t wait to share this with you soon! To be notified of our new Course release, sign up for our newsletter.
Ceramics
We are kicking off our new programme in Ceramics from Monday 3 May. Check out our Clay Shop, Firing Service and 1:1 Sessions. Regular and Established Practice subscribers can make bookings from now, with sessions starting back up from the 17 May 2021.
