The end is near… or is it.

Well, it’s been a while since I posted on here, but there has been plenty of reasons. The main one is we have been on air! If you missed the broadcasts where have you been? We did 2 weeks of 2 hours a night 6 nights a week. The shows were so action packed we never stopped. A massive thanks to all the people who came in to be interviewed, who let us visit them and connect to us via the means of skype. The show went really well and if you missed them don’t worry they are all on our podcast page.

So we have been off air a week and you might be wondering what have I been up to and the answer is teaching.  I have been back in to schools, helping with drama lessons and doing more radio training. But also I have been with Rocca before she set off to Uganda for her next project, looking at ways of continuing Goodman’s Croft, and you will be happy to know its not the end, we will be broadcasting every Sunday night from 5pm till 7pm.

This is an exciting time for us as even though Rocca and myself will not be in Lumsden any more and I will be helping running it from back home in Preston, it will be passed over to the community of Aberdeenshire! With this in mind I have been training up the staff here at SSW and they are now ready to be DJ’s, helping me to keep the station going.

Tonight is my last night up here for now, but what a night it is going to be. I have the young people from Rhynie coming in to the station and recording their first show. This will be the first show to be on the station which does not have mine or Rocca’s voice in it. They will be recording live and will be part of this coming Sundays show. I’m sure they will do really well and the show will go with a bang: the after show entertainment certainly will….

So please listen in to the station this and every Sunday night between 5pm and 7pm, this is YOUR community station and you should be proud of it.

Speak soon.
