Clay Social

Our monthly Clay Social are a chance for Lumsden residents to get together and learn or improve their clay skills. These relaxed creative sessions will start with an introduction to some basic clay techniques and offer plenty of time to work on their own creations. Snacks and refreshments provided all materials, consumables and firing are free.

Clay Socials are only open to people living in Lumsden, Honeybarrel, Mossat and Kildrummy.

Friday 31st January 6pm – 8pm

Come along and get your work made ready for a wood firing in February

Friday 14 February 6pm – 8pm

Building on your Christmas throwing skills we’ll be partnering you up and doing our best Ghost impressions to celebrate St Valentine.

All sessions and related materials are free and homemade food and refreshments are provided. No previous experience in working in any of the above materials necessary. Inductions will be provided at the start of each session.

How to take part

Check out the full programme with the menu on the right and sign up for your free sessions online by emailing communities@ssw.org.uk with the following information:

  1. Your full name
  2. Email address
  3. Telephone number
  4. List all the events that you would like to book
  5. List the names of the other people attending with you
  6. If anyone is under 18, please list their age/s
  7. Any relevant information about medical conditions or accessibility needs

You can also call the SSW office on 01464 861372 between 9:30 and 3:30 Tuesday to Friday.

If you have come to SSW Community Making Space events and have ideas and thoughts for this upcoming programme please email communities@ssw.org.uk and suggestions will be brought to our community advisory sessions for discussion.
