A relaxed room used by artists and staff to use when they need time away from communal spaces, a space to rest or to do work which requires some quiet space. It is accessible through the door next to the L-shaped sofa. The wellbeing room has a desk, plug sockets, two types of seating and neutral decor. All furniture is movable and plug sockets are desk height.
Flooring: Smooth lino in a neutral grey and beige stone effect
Lighting: Soft natural lighting through the roof window. One suspended fluorescent strip light which is softened with a shade cover. There are also lamps to use.
Seating: Padded armchair with arms and backs, Plastic chairs with backs and no arms, small sofa with back and cushions.
Sensory Notes: Neutral decor, white walls, the only noticeable pattern is the wooden beams on the ceiling which create a geometric pattern against the corrugated metal roof. Loud noises from the studio may still be heard. The room is a little confined with the door closed.
Nearest Accessible Toilet: There is an accessible toilet outside the exit doors which lead to the rest of the SSW main building. To access it, exit the office and make a U-turn to the right and through the large door into the hallway. The toilet is on the immediate left.
