Our outdoor forge offers artists and makers of all levels and experience the opportunity to learn blacksmithing techniques, from drawing out, hammering and bending as well as how to use and regulate a forge. More advanced users can work with our technicians to develop their skillset, experiment and complete more ambitious projects. We have been pouring hot metal on a regular basis at SSW since 1982 and are the only Open Access foundry in the UK.
