SSW Public Talks Series: Simone Kenyon

Each year SSW host a series of open talks to accompany our Summer Artist in Residence programme. These talks are set up to bring people together, share food and have vibrant conversations. Summer Residencies 2018: May

The first of our summer residencies finished last week with artists Audrey Dazelle, Jack O’Flynn, Yoonjung Kim, Jennifer Clews and Lumsden residency artist’s Anna Wolfe-Pauly and Dorian Braun. Also in residence at this time and dipping into the programme were Naomi Pearce, Katie Anderson and Julia Cowie. We had some beautiful weather and a lot of brilliant work was made. Hoping the weather continues for the next group arriving today.

Lumsden Residency: Anna Wolfe-Pauly & Dorian Braun

Our 2018 Lumsden residency programme began in May with artists Anna Wolfe-Pauly & Dorian Braun undertaking a month long residency alongside our Summer Residency programme. SSW Staff and Artists Strike on International Woman’s Day

On Thursday 8th of March, International Woman’s Day, SSW staff members and current artists on residence will be supporting the Women’s Strike. We are doing this in solidarity with those calling for gender equality,  equal pay, labour rights and an end to gender violence. During this strike day we will spend time together on Creag nam Ban (Hill of the Women) discussing a range of questions we are wrestling with within our work, practice and personal lives.
